Wasteland 2 Fundraising Drive Ends at $3.0 Million

Wasteland 2's Kickstarter fundraising drive has just concluded its run about 10 minutes ago at $2,933,147 which, when summed with the numbers coming through Paypal, means the project effectively broke the $3 million threshold before the end of the drive.

Among other things, this means that we will get a mod toolkit for the title, but most importantly it also offers a nice buffer to the team and solidifies the fact that we will get a game that is much larger in scope than what Fargo had imagined initially when asking $900,000.

This is a great message to the industry about the viability of niche markets, now let's hope the game delivers.
