To demonstrate what it is that a witcher does exactly, CD Projekt RED has put together a new six-minute video called "52 and a half" that shares a story of Geralt being hired by some scared townsfolk to slay the monsters inhabiting a nearby cave. They're scared of the monsters, sure, but it's abundantly clear that they're scared of Geralt, too:
