Star Wars: The Old Republic's Update 1.2: Legacy content patch will be going live very soon now, and to give us a better perspective on the many elements the legacy system introduces, the team has released a new developer dispatch video that covers the family tree dynamic, as well as the new role-play emotes, class ability unlocks, legacy gear, and more.
