King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame II Reviews

Now that Paradox and Neocore's King Arthur sequel is ready to start consuming space on our hard drives, it's time to round up the first round of initial reviews to see where the strategy/RPG stands in comparison to its predecessor.

Digitally Downloaded gives it a 4.5/5:
Fans of the original King Arthur title from Paradox (and hopefully there are a lot of you out there), rest assured Paradox have done this sequel right. Those who weren't able to get into the previous game, take a second look at this one the tweaks are just enough that it's worth a second chance.

Calm Down Tom gives it a 9/10:
Overall this is probably one of the best turn based/RPG/RTS game's I've ever played. Hugelly enjoyable and immensly fun, I give this game my highest recomendation. Big props to Paradox Interactive and Neocore Games for making an incredibly polished, rewarding title that combines strategy and role-playing.

Cheat Code Central gives it a 3.3/5:
To the contrary, in King Arthur II, I found myself skipping battles whenever I could, and I stayed up late playing only because I had to write this review. That doesn't mean there's nothing to enjoy about this title, and, as they say, your mileage may vary. Only one thing is for certain: If you buy this game, you will spend a lot of time being read to.

And then Rock, Paper, Shotgun provides some initial impressions:
The game does feel a little awkward as a whole there are interface oddities such as upgrading skills requiring a double-click even though most everything else is singleclick or click and drag and again the presentation of the non-combat quests is about as inspiring as a traffic warden, but much will, I suspect, swim into better focus after more time with the game. I hope to return when my soccer saga is complete, and I look forward to hearing what Herr Stone reports about the later stages of the game.
