Blizzard Denies February 1st Release Date for Diablo III

We have previously reported on Best Buy's countdown that pointed to a 1st February release date for Diablo III, seemingly meaning that the highly-anticipated action-RPG was closer to release than we expected. Well, judging by the words of Blizzard community manager Bashiok that was nothing more than guesswork on the retailer's part, and the title still doesn't have a firm release date:

Diablo III does not have a release date. Any store or person claiming otherwise is guessing.

It seems like we are back to hoping that Blizzard's "early 2012" window isn't too large again.
