Petroglyph and True Games Interactive's multiplayer action/strategy/RPG title Mytheon has had a rocky past, sure, but it's still a bit of a surprise to see this forum post announcing that the game will be taken offline within the next couple of months.

Greetings Stonecasters,

This Wednesday, July 27th, we will begin the process of ending Mytheon live service, starting with the immediate discontinuation of website registration, client download, and store purchases.

While this is a somber announcement for many of our fans and for those of us on the Mytheon Team, we plan to go out on a high-note!

All active players (those who've logged into Mytheon in the last 30 days) will receive 250 Coins to splurge on one last adventure, with final server closure scheduled to commence within the next couple months.

Finally, we'd like to send out a huge thank you to all our players who've joined us on this journey.

What a shame. As I've always said about these types of closures, it would be great if they'd release the server-side software and let fans take the game to new heights.
