With at least 20 hours into the campaign, and the ability to push 30 or 40 hours for those taking their time, this is a game with extremely long legs. The diehard stealth, RPG, and shooter fan needs to own this game, and there is enough depth to likely draw interest from other gamers to boot. With an aesthetic leaning heavily towards cyberpunk and gameplay that allows you to call nearly every shot, Deus Ex: Human Revolution boasts one of the most compelling videogame experiences of recent memory.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the sequel, or prequel that fans of the original deserved all along. It follows the same formula, excellent story and open ended problem solving and combines this with RPG elements and modern game play. This stays true to the original concept and built on what made it so popular. Fans of the original will likely buy this regardless of what any review says about it, but for newcomers, this will not alienate and provides an excellent and unique game play experience that you will not find in any other shooter. And for those run and gunners you can even play it that way.. If you haven't played the original I also recommend giving that a whirl, despite being over 10 years old it still holds up fairly well.

If you can't find a way to play Human Revolution that brings you joy, you are looking for love in all the wrong places. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, a worthy successor to its predecessor and, at the same time, so much more.

Grab your trenchcoat and your sunglasses, there is a conspiracy out there and you have to stop it. This game is pure Game of the Year material, and you can take that to the bank. If you had any interest in this game, go out and get it now, and call in your sick days while you're at it.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution hits on most cylinders, but failed to fully engage us during our gameplay. However, if you have a significant amount of time to dedicate to a game, Deus Ex may be the game for you.

The few flaws this game has are easy to overlook because of how much it does well but there are a few things that could have made this game perfect. After playing L.A. Noire, it's hard to look at other faces in games but unfortunately, that's the new standard and Deus Ex doesn't quite measure up. Overall, the graphics are better than Fallout and close, but not quite as good as Mass Effect 2. Other than that, you'll probably just want more of the same that Human Revolution has to offer. That also includes the multiple endings, which are kind of Fallout 3-ish. Granted, there is an Easter egg to be found in a couple of the endings but, considering it is a prequel, it would be nice to be able to continue playing or at least have a new game plus option to keep playing until Deus Ex 4 comes out.
