Blizzard "Serious" About Bringing Diablo III to Consoles

There have been plenty of rumors and indications that Blizzard is, at the very least, interested in porting Diablo III to consoles, but this is the first time we get something so close to a confirmation, as Eurogamer reports that lead designer Josh Mosqueira stated that Blizzard is "very, very serious about bringing the Diablo 3 experience to the console" during GamesCom.

"Today, we're trying to build the best console team at Blizzard. We're looking for programmers, designers, artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console. Trust me, it is a dream job.

"All I can say is it's going to be awesome. Stay tuned."

This wouldn't be the first a Diablo game ends up on consoles, considering that the first title was ported to the PlayStation, but it would certainly be a significant move away from PC-centric development for Blizzard and the Diablo franchise.
