Dark Souls Preview

While the initial flood has all but died down, previews for From Software's action-RPG Dark Souls keep occasionally popping up, the latest being a quick one-page piece by GameDynamo. Here's a small sampling:
This will mark the first time the series finds itself on the Xbox 360, and early screenshots and video look quite promising. The game on both systems will focus almost primarily on heavy exploration and dungeon delving, but this isn't your dad's dungeon crawler! Look to be faced with enemies as varied as the weapons you can use to slay them. At this point in the game's development, there are 100 different weapons to choose from. In interviews, the higher ups at Namco Bandai can't stress enough that Dark Souls is not a sequel but a new game in the spirit of Demon's Souls.

One major difference between the original game and Dark Souls is the sheer size of the game. Developers are saying that this new environment will allow for more role play and exploration, as everything the player can see off in the distance can be journeyed to and interacted with.
