Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes Reviews

Several reviews for the console edition of Capybara's Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes are now available, so I thought we'd dive into them and see how favorable they are.

GameSpot gives it an 8.0/10:
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is one of those "just one more turn" games that is nearly impossible to stop playing. Battles are tough and sometimes unfair given the surprises that await you as you fight your way across the land of Ashan, but the puzzles are still fiendishly addictive. The game's roots on the tiny screen of the Nintendo DS are apparent in the often Lilliputian graphics and text, but when you're caught up in this irresistible adventure, these flaws hardly matter.

IGN gives it a 9.0/10:
Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is where it's at. I loved it on DS, and this HD version is even better. A deep, clever puzzle game mixes well with a beautiful role-playing adventure. This is a game to get lost in, providing hours and hours of single- and multiplayer fun.

Destructoid gives it a 9/10:
You owe it to yourself to check out Clash of Heroes if this is your first time playing, and again if you played through the DS version. As far as I am concerned, this should be the standard for the genre going forward.

GameInformer gives it a 7.75/10:
I love the rebalancing of specific abilities (in particular, the heroes' special spells are much more fair across the board now) and the multiplayer implementation, but I wish that some of my other problems with Clash of Heroes had been addressed in this port. Nonetheless, you can do much worse for your puzzle fix.

RandomProdInc gives it a 7.4/10:
I found myself getting confused about where the game's strengths were, but after about five battles I found myself getting addicted to the battles. I would say to myself just one more battle, and then playing five more. So although the game may feel (kiddy) at times and frustrating at the next, it is incredibly addictive. Don't go into it expecting much from the story though.

Metro.co.uk gives it an 8/10:
The superb presentation, and sheer depth and breadth of content, definitely remains and once again we advise ignoring the appallingly generic name and trying out what is once again one of the best games of the year.

STN gives it an "Excellent" verdict:
There are so many fantastic retail titles coming out over the next few months, however I would still suggest you at least try the demo for Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, because this is a pretty special game which deserves your attention.

And Console Arcade gives it a 4/5:
Brimming with confidence, as an overall package Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes provides an experience that will suck hours of time away in the blink of an eye, complete with that moreish (one more go) appeal that is the hallmark of an essential purchase.
