Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Video Interview and Preview

In addition to a quick four-paragraph preview of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, XG247 has kicked up a six-minute video interview that they conducted (in reverse...) with producer Raphael Van Lierop. Both items can be found here, with a snip to follow:
On certain missions you will have a squad of marines backing you up, whether these will become characters in their own right or will remain generic squad mates is yet to be seen, but they do provide some nice dialogue and a way for Captain Titus to vocalise what is happening around him. There are currently 15 weapons in the game, including a set of exotic weapons such as the heavy bolter and Thunder Hammer. These will be available to you for certain set pieces and at set locations but ammo will be scarce and they will not be permanent fixtures in your inventory. The weapons are upgradable to a certain degree, with weapons such as the plasma rifle having a secondary fire mode which consists of a very powerful charged shot. The abilities the marine has will also progress so moves such as the '˜bull rush' will gain power and distance over time. As it stands the campaign mode will last approximately 10 hours with no information being revealed about the co-op or multiplayer although we are assured they will be in the game and will bring you some news on these as soon as we have it.
