King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame Reviews

If you're looking for a new strategy/RPG hybrid to sink your teeth into, you may want to pore over these two new reviews for NeoCore Games' King Arthur: The Role-playing Wargame.

IronHammers gives it a 3.5/5:
The game has a great concept but, unfortunately, a poor realisation. The decision to mix role-play with wargaming is a great idea on paper, and if it was pulled off successfully it could have been a major seller. Sadly, though, King Arthur falls short of the mark due to the imbalances and bugs. I really hope they bring a patch out to fix these problems, because this game is great underneath and deserves to be so much more. As it stands, expect some great fun, that's also tied with frustration as the game continues to have these great battles and characterisations, while your army is being beaten down due to no real fault of your own.

While TK-Nation goes for a 7/10:
Overall, King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame an excellent title for deep thinkers who enjoy strategic warfare, immersive RPG fare, and weighty decisions, but loathe the excessive management or ferentic twitchfests required for success with many strategy games.

Despite its difficulties and occasional awkwardness, I enjoyed this game thoroughly and heartily recommend it for everyone who meets the above description.
