Xbox One Backward Compatibility Continues to Expand Into RPG Territory

According to Major Nelson's Xbox One backward compatibility list, there are now well over a dozen role-playing games available on Microsoft's latest console that were originally developed for the Xbox 360. With this week's update, Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut and SPIDERS' Faery: Legends of Avalon have been added to the list, so I've compiled a quick selection of the RPGs and RPG hybrids that stand out:

  • Borderlands
  • Castle Crashers
  • Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
  • Dark Souls
  • DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION
  • Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
  • Dungeon Siege III
  • Fable II
  • Fable III
  • Faery: Legends of Avalon
  • Fallout 3
  • Mass Effect
  • Might & Magic Clash of Heroes
  • Sacred 3
  • Sacred Citadel
  • South Park: The Stick of Truth
  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
  • Torchlight

Hopefully, Fable: The Lost Chapters, Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout: New Vegas, The Elder Scrolls titles, and a few others get added to that list in the coming weeks and months.
