Game Description
Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is a unique free-to-play action RPG presented within a vivid and expressive hand-painted world. Discover fantastic locales, meet bizarre characters and hunt ancient demons, all set to the backdrop of late Edo period Japan.
The basic premise of Akaneiro is transporting the classic Red Riding Hood tale to Japan, and turning the protagonist into an accomplished hunter of beasts and demons. The setting is directly inspired by events of late Edo period Japan and the time leading up to it, most notably the arrival of Commodore Perry’s “Black Ships”. This was a tumultuous period of change as foreign influence and modernization clashed with ancient Japanese tradition. |
