Beware the Sorceress of the Soviet! (Part 2)

Did we miss anything in this location? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Mission Overview

You’ll start the mission inside Red Oktober’s base. If you head south, you’ll meet a Cuban civilian (#2). Freeing him (by destroying the gate) will generate two secondary objectives: to free all of the other civilians, and also to prevent the civilians from getting killed.

On the eastern side of the chamber you’ll find an “entrance” (#3) guarded by a shurale. When you click on the entrance, Mentor will tell you that this door works just like the door leading into the base, and so you’ll have to destroy more mystic hands (#4) to open it. The mystic hands will only appear after you’ve clicked on the door, and for this door only one mystic hand will appear. You’ll find it back where the civilian was.

To complete this mission, you’ll have to open three doors. The second and third doors work just the same as the first, except you’ll also encounter frogs (#5), cauldrons (#6), and dark shamans (#7). Once you’ve opened the final door, the mission will end, so you might want to hang out near one of the cauldrons to generate some extra prestige first.

“Are we almost there? This subterranean air is murder on my coiffure.”

1 - Starting Point

2 - Cuban Civilian

3 - Doors

4 - Mystic Hands

5 - Frogs

Walk up to the frogs to change them back into their original form. The first set of frogs only has civilians in it, but in the second you’ll also free a couple ice guards.

6 - Cauldrons

Cauldrons produce enemies until they’re destroyed. If you want to rack up some extra prestige, then just stand by a cauldron and kill whatever it produces. However, if you want to finish the mission as quickly as possible, then destroy cauldrons as soon as you see them.

7 - Dark Shamans

Dark shamans reflect some types of damage, and they have an area attack. So don’t send all of your heroes at them all at once, or they’ll all take damage. We just sent Minuteman to kill them solo (he can kill them in a couple hits), and then we had Minuteman use health canisters as needed.
