In my opinion, the only proper way to do MC, onyxia, BWL is to join one of the bigger guilds. These usually have a working DKP system (point system for "buying" loot) They also usually have experienced players, and good, working tactics.

Of course, that will be hard with your timetable, but the end-game instances are just a small part of the game. You'll do fine without them

There was a group with a web site... The SRA or something? They were basicly players with experince at End Game content who would join groups made up of smaller guilds who signed up on the website in order to help them run MC and such... Make up numbers, explain the mobs and bosses, help them organise loot and such...

Thou, having said that, I can't remember the adress... So, that was really pretty usless of me...

If you are pretty limited with how much you can play anyway, why not just create another character on your brother's account and play with it for a while? It means you wont be able to play when he's playing, but you wont be making a commitment yet either, and you can decide to get your own copy/account if you get into it enough.

that's what i would do, and for the record, I think it's very possible to be a casual gamer and have a lot of fun, at 60 you can still do BGs and all kinds of things like that without devoting hours upon hours to raids, and you can then start an alt

Leveling up alts quickly becomes boring, especially when all your "friends"/guildies are doing Molten Core etc.

Battlegrounds had long queues when I played due to the populationdifferences between the factions, which would mean you could often spend hours in them before getting in. Hours a casual player usually doesn't have.

well, I think it's all a matter of personal preferance, I like to explore other races and classes, I enjoy seeing what's out there, I guess you can call me an explorer.
I may be weird, but I like following the story lines and experiencing other styles of play with different skills, that's why I can enjoy alts.

In terms of BGs, I think it's been getting better, blizzard tries to improve the queue every patch, and also now they have the sound notification when your time is up, so you can go afk, do something else, and when you hear the sound it's time to bust some skulls.

Yeah - like use the few hours a night playing something not involving waiting in queues
