Arrow alliance difficult to get honour?

I am a lousy player (alliance). I always lost WSG and AB. Sometimes I won AV.

But AV honour points got nerfed. Losing WSG and AB don't get honour points?

So, how alliance earn honour points? Just do AV only? To tell you the truth.I can't get enough honour points myself. But I get help from my friend Dean .He helps me to get the masks and honours.

Losing BG don't get any honour points? How to calculate honour points (AV, AB and WSG)?

Is it time to roll horde? ^_^ My MSN is nliuchao@hotmail.com ,I like to make friends who like to play worldofwarcraft.

Thanks.

Well, with the new honor system, you gain honor a lot slower.

you get honor for every honor kill, so you dont have to win to gain honor. IF you win, you get bonus honor.

in WSG, winning team get 200

in AV, i got no idea

in AB, you get honor calculated on how much resources your team have. so even tho you didnt win, you still get a honor bonus if your team have gathered resources.

oh, and about alliance winning.. no way, not gonna happen

have to say off the bat i'm a loyal horde player and would never roll alliance . i just find the alliance kinda self contradicting (especially with the forsaken - i mean weren;t *they* responisible for it anyway? off topic and sorry i am very very biased and love horde it rules)

generally horde races get better pvp racials (mana tap/ arcane torrest for the blood elves as well as +5 resistence to all magic schools, war stomp. orc's stun resistence, troll's regen and priest hex-curses and most remarkable the forsaken's "will of the forsaken") which already puts the alliance at a disadvantage. alliance get apparently better pve racials (theyre the "defenders" so it makes sense) than us hordes.

in BGs on my server (maelstrom) there are more hordes than alliance. also the general consensus in outside BG's pvp is alliance can only win with numbers - i'm yet to lose to an equally equipped mage my level. most alliance wins areonly when hordes are outnumbered.

this said - BGs are pretty hard to ger honour in for whatever the alliance equivlients are to the Defiler and Warsong Outriders battegrounds (warsong and AB is it?) in the first honour/ resp is dependant on the capturing the flag and kills (best to AoE like crazy on this one) - this is the only one i still have neutral rep in and i'm usually pretty high up on the damage table. each flag gets if i remember rightly +35 rep and +15 honour

for AB its based largely on resourses and kills again - +10 rep for resources held and a small amount of honour per kill in your group unless you get the killing blow

for honour farming - AV is the way to go (and well - for pvp rewards its the best and if your horde and you get 50 AV medals you can get a white wolf from them ). +14 honour from each npc killed (its not just a direct brawl) and rep comes easy. within 2 days i was up to honoured with the Frostwolves doing just 1-1 runs a day. longer it lasts the more honour you get and it is *the* way to farm honour

as for rerolling horde - go for it.

alliance player here, and i agree to the "self-contradicting" statement. alliance never, or rarely, work together, they always go alone on their merry way to get HKs, not work to get the objectives done. the only time i can say that they do work together is in AV. while i was still playing, alliance won 7 or 8 games out of 10 in AV. this is the only thing that really ticks me off. i like playing as the alliance, but doing so means i can't do jack all in PvP thats helpful. no honor points for me, i guess

to your paragraph about the racial abilities, you're right, and i'm quite pissed about it. alliance has nothing that's really useful in PvP. "woot i just escaped from your net-o-matic projector by using escape artist! now, what's the best way to get my ass ganked?" or "ok, perception time! hmmm, i sense a disturbance in the Mana. as if 10 rogues were behind me ready to ambush or backstab me, then.. silence..". i mean seriously, what does alliance get that's actually useful? i tell ya, come Wrath of the Lick King, alliance better be getting some major ass buff-ups in terms of PvP. maybe make our racials more helpful, like night elves can at least use shadowmeld and move around when it's night...

Most of the honor gained in PvP comes from kills and honor kills(I think this is the right term). Kills are straight forward, you have to land the killing blow. Honor kills are an assist. Help in killing an enemy player and you'll get one. The odd thing about these is that you don't have to be involved in the fight. Be near a fight when someone dies and you get a point.

The only other way to aquire honor is to be on the winning team. There is one exception to this and that is to score in Warsong Gulch.

The other thing you'll gain is marks of honor. No matter what battle ground it is you will get 1 for losing and 3 for winning.

Reputation gains are a different matter. The way to gain rep will differ from battleground to battleground. In Warsong Gulch it is gained from scoring and winning. In Arathi Basin you'll gain rep as long as you hold a resource node. I'm not sure about the other two.
