Problem with Dev/Null (SPOILERS)

I´m stuck in downtown New York. I´ve met Samuel the nosferatu and i´ve been to Dev/Nulls apartment (i´ve even saved there). But I can´t talk to him(Dev/Null). Does anyone know if its a bug or a glitch? or if i have to do something to get to him? Like pull a switch or something?

When you start a thread that gives away information about the story or quests, please can you put (SPOILERS) in the title to avoid accidently revealing to a member something that another member doesn't want to know yet. As for your problem:

Once Samuel tells you to go find Dev/Null you should just be able to go to his appartment and talk to him. Is your game patched?

My guess would be the patch also.
You need Official 1.1, if you didn't know.

but i already have the patch. maybe i should have mentioned this earlier. sorry i´m new at this. anything else that could be the problem? it´s like there´s an obsticle or a wall around him.

What does your quest log say?

Oh wait, did you try to get inside the Warehouse the DEA agent was watching?
Maybe you have to try the door to find you need the code first before you have a reason to talk to Dev?

What do you mean by a wall around him - how close can you get to him? Have you tried to get to him from different angles, in case its just something like his chair getting in the way, so you can get close enough to activate the dialogue?

no i haven´t tried to get inside the warehouse..maybe that´s it. and yes i have tried from different angles. and it doesn´t work. it´s like there´s a chair all around him. but thanks i´ll try with the warehouse

now i´ve tried the warehouse and it still doesn´t work. more suggestions? i´m desperete. i really want to finnish the game. any advise would be helpful. tnx in advance

You still never said what your quest log say's?

The feeling you can't get close to him is called his "Hit Box" his personal space, used to messure for things like did the bullet hit.
Everything has a Hit Box.

Get the warehouse access codes

Explore the streets of new york to gain information about the access codes.

Not sure it does sound bugged, because the intended way is as you approach a cutscene starts.
So either you Save or your install is corupted.

Only thing to do is next try an older Save, if that fails then copy your Saves in another directory, uninstall, then reinstall and 1.1 patch.

@ Stiffo: Have you tried going back to an earlier save (if you have one) and having a go at getting it to trigger the cutscene?

yes i have another save and have tried reloading it 3 times and it´s still the same problem.

Ok ome last thing did you try going in the sewers frist before speaking to Dev?
If so maybe that caused it, have you tried continuing in the sewers?
Maybe all you did was break the cutscence.
