Hi, someone recently told me how to be able to pause in game and assign commands to my characters (like Baldurs Gate etc.). However, when I type in the console what the person told me to do I get a "unrecognize command" message. I've tried it multiple times and it isn't a typo on my part. What I was told to type is: bind kp_ins "pause"
That correct? Is there a space where it shouldn't be? Do I need a double space somewhere?
It sounds more like a line that needs to be included in a configuration (.cfg) or initiation (.ini) file in the game directory, so the insert key gets a new ingame function. Google might help you out there, or you might try and find which file needs to be altered yourself by looking for editable files. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

If that doesn't work then search for vampire redemption pause or something like that.
Basically try various keywords that have something to do with the game and what you are trying to do. You might also want to try searching for Vampire the Masquerade and see if you can find the official forums for the game and have a look there.

I found out that the official patch (I think, or whichever patch I have enables the pause button. The key to press is the obscure "pause/break" key on the keyboard up in the top right. The placement of it sucks, but not as much as playing the game without the ability to pause etc.
