Monestary Question

Hi!! I have only been playing vampire redemption for a little while and I quite like the game even the annoying bits!! You can switch from characther to characther but not sure if you can remain female though. I'm stuck in the monastary!! I've two locked gates which lead up two stairs. Mercurios and Garinols doors are nearby. I can't see how to get the gates open. I've been through all three levels looking!! Any ideas from you?

Hi!! I am so confused by this game!!! But I refuse to give up on it. I'm kinda new it all, but wasn't sure if was going to be any good as the reviews suggested it was a terrible game. I happen to think it's not so bad despite being stuck in the monastary and have no one willing or wanting to help me out. Have you any tips? I'm stuck in level 3 of the monastary and have locked gates leading to stairways. Nearby are the Mercurios and Garinols doors. I understand I need to get these gates open and there I remain stuck for the last few days. I go back and try each time but give up and feel angry. I've walked through the entire monastary looking. Please take pity on me. I think I've suffered enough!!

Go through the monestary until you reach a large mural at the top of a flight of stairs. If you examine the mural, you'll eventually find a finger bone key (or something to that name). That will open Garinol's room. From there, you'll be able to progress smoothly.

To open the gates leading up, look for a panel on the floor in that same room. Click it and one of the gates will open. The second gate will open later after you head up the first flight of stairs.
This answer is quite late, but I only just now completed that stretch myself. Not much support on forums for this game maybe because it is quite old and not being actively played by many people anymore...
