what patch should i use?

Well is been a long time since i played this game again, actually i never could finish the game because of the problems.

But now i decided to finish it, and isee that there is 2 different sets of patchs and the unofficial is at 3.9.
Should i use the "true" patch(4.04AT) or the unofficial?, or is even possible to use both?.

I like the way the unofficial patches supposedly give you more content, more content is good, but i dont know if the other sets of patches also unveil the hidden content of the game.

Are the changes to the weapon dmg(in the unofficial) really that bad, i think that was something ive heard some people complaining.

If you want new content the full unofficial patch is the way to go. The aim of the "true" patch is exactly not to do this (although they broke their own rule with some unused text lines and one single weapon).

No, I think you'll hardly notice it.

I haven't used the "true" patch yet, but I have noticed quite a few bug reports from people that have tried it. Wesp's unofficial patches definately appear to be a lot more stable and bug free at this time

I have another sort of related question, do they changed items locations with the unofficial patchs?.

Well seeing the walkthroughs on the internet, the "Weekapaug Thistle" in the haunted hotel should be located in the room 211.

Instead of it, i find a tome "Scarlet Torkelson: Circus Performer". hmm whats going on?? is that normal.

I did the same thing than last time, where do i find the "Weekapaug Thistle" then?

Some objects were moved in the unofficial patches so their placing would make more sense. Regarding the Thistle, you will find that where you normally found the book. This was done because the book can always be read before carrying the thistle but not sometimes the other way around if your dodge skill is already too high. So I swapped both to prevent the need to drop the thistle to read the book and the result for the gameplay is the same as both increase dodge +1.
