Violating the Masquerade...

In Hollywood, i was sent to an internetcafe to pick something up. No big deal you'd say, except when i entered the place, i got a Masquerade violation call.... what the hell is that all about ? Vampires can't go on the internet ?

And i wasn't using any specific vampire skills when it happened, all i did was enter that building. Anyone ?

Did you meet that chick who reconized you from your former life? You have to kill her, before she make that call. Or if you don't want to loose humanity by killing her, avoid her by going through the sewers!

Do you remember meeting the woman who seemed to recongnise you from your former "living" life? I met her between Issac's and the Cafe...If you let her get to the pay phones she'll make some calls or something or other and it will blow your "undead" identity, so to speak...I drank her blood a wee bit(at the pay phones, sorta tucked away from the street) and she went into a stupor and I guess she forgot she saw me... I'm guessing while you were in the Cafe she was buzzing your family...I could be wrong...

Ah, that's it then, i simply ignored that girl. Will she cause any further trouble for me or should i track her down and silence her ?

In the meantime, i have another question, which also may contain spoilers, but i really need some info on this....

I'm in Hollywood, on a quest for the man in the jewelry store. I'm supposed to get a full copy of a snuff film in which a girl gets ripped apart by a bunch of monsters. I bribed the appropriator of the Sin Bin, and he told me that i should go to the public payphones down the street, where an anonymous caller will give me further instructions on where to collect the tape.

Well, i'm standing next to the phones, and ive been waiting for like 15/20 minutes or so, and nothing happened yet. How long is this gonna take, or do i need to do something first in order to trigger the phonecall ?

i didnt get the loss of a masquerade point there (initial post), however i have lost some here and there throughout the game, did a reload to not lose them..

i) when at the back of the Sin Bin(Hollywood) and i move the boxes/crate slabs to get into the cemetery.. i lost one there .. not sure why, at the time i thought moving boxes and crates was supernatural strength, and the bums saw

ii) i saved when i was just about to enter the shack in the cemetery(Hollywood) .. realoded that save point . when the game reloaded i lost a masquerade point .. didnt like that, so i reloaded the same save point, this time i didnt lose a masquerade point.

Conclusion: this random loss of masquerade points is a bug in the game.

Just try running away and comming back or entering a building and comming back out again .. i didnt have this problem, but see if that works
