Vampire lore question

If you diblarize a older vampire you gain all its powers and its generation, correct?

But, if you diablarize someone of a lower generation or a thin blood do you get weaker?

I'm so confused!!!!!!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Nope. You don't get weaker.

Diablerie

If you practice diablerie on a less experienced, lesser generation vampire, you gain ..... his/her blood!
So I guess if you're 13th generation or something you don't need to worry about diablerie. They may get some XP if the character diablerized had stronger powers despite lower generation.
Anyway... Diablerists... Vampires with access to the Auspex discipline can tell if you diablerized in the past or not, so hey, I wouldn't recommend it.

If the older vampires got weaker from draining the younger ones, then Gehenna wouldn't take place. The Antediluvians and Methusulahs are sleeping away, they wake up, they're hungry and human blood isn't nearly enough to sate their hunger. They hunt down their progeny and drink their vitae merely to stay alive. The whole process would start over, they would still retain their powers and would quite possibly start a new race of vampires, all with the same bloodlines that have existed which they selfishly wiped out. If draining younger ones made them weaker, then they would get to the point where you would have 10th generations kicking an antediluvian's ass, which is never going to happen unless an army of them went up against him/her.

Since diablerie is a crime against vampires, they feel threatened that you may drain them as well considering your character went through with it. So any Camarilla Prince or Justicar or anyone of the Inner Circle will be all for a blood hunt on you since they have a fear of being overthrown. Camarilla are all out against this no matter your sect. Anarchs don't care, but if you commit diablerie, you're most likely violating the Anarch movement by gaining a lust for power (which they loathe since they consider themselves all equals) and they will deal with you as such. Sabbat practice this A LOT! Camarilla are aware and do whatever they can to stop anyone from getting too powerful. Independents do whatever they please, but at their own risk. Diablerie is not commonplace from my knowledge among those clans, but if you break Camarilla laws, they put you on trial just like you are their own.

Since diablerie is a fearful practice, Gehenna is probably the time when it will happen most. Sabbat are under the impression they can win and it is rumored that some of them have vanquished their antediluvians. Anyway, that's my summary about the manner. The Camarilla fear Gehenna and deny the existance of Antediluvians so they can maintain order. The Sabbat have strong beliefs about Gehenna and they don't care who they hurt in the process, as long as they can get powerful enough to win. Independents have mixed views, the Anarchs don't care.
