| | This Is Turning Into A Nightmare! Has Anyone Ever Downloaded This Game? Im trying to buy this game from an online store where you can download games, but I keep finding these warnings that their downloaded games might not be compatible with patches or mods, unless you get it from them.
Has anyone here or anyone you guys know, ever bought this game from an online downloadable game store? I really need some help with this. Its like no one knows anything. Can someone please help me?
I can't buy this game from steam because its incompatible with any patches, and now these other guys are pretty much hinting at the same thing. The customer service is a joke at D2D, not that the shopping cart is even working even though I did validate and activate my account with them. And no one carries the game around where I live. *bangs head against wall* I need to go blow something up, this is getting really frustrating!

| | | I have heard a number of negative things about games bought as downloads from sources other than the developer. Some games have no problems; others have many. It's up to you, but I would check the developer's forums first to see if any problems exist with downloads of their product, before investing my cash.

| | | Have you checked on eBay? I saw some that are approximately the price of a downloadable game.
I just tried to buy one from the Activision website, but they say the service is down temporarily. Maybe you'll want to check back later.
As for the downloadable game, I cannot give you informations since I never bought a game that way. I always buy boxed versions.

| | Unfortunately, the developer is gone. They wen't out of business.
So I guess the only option left is to ask you guys. Unless anyone of you know where I can get a CD without getting ripped off.
Edit:
I saw someone selling it there, but their aproval rating was 100%. I've been told several times from diffrent people, to never buy from anyone with a perfect rating. Everyone else there either wants too much money for it, or they live in europe.

| | | I never bought from the sellers who have it in Australia, so I cannot comment about them and cannot encourage you to get their game since I don't know them. That being said I bought several times from sellers with a 100 % rating and bought some games from Europe (France and UK) and Asia (Singapour) and did not have any problem.
Honestly, I cannot see why you should not buy from a seller with a 100 % rating.
BTW, the developer, Toika, is gone, but the distributor (at least in NA), Activision, is not.

| | | It isn't the rating alone that determines the quality of the seller, but the rating plus the number of sales in a relatively short time. I can't say I've previously bought from one that has a 100% rating, but I would have no problem doing so provided they also sold a reasonable amount, and it was the sort of product I was seeking.
But the choice remains yours.

But the choice remains yours. | You're right. Everytime I buy from a seller I don't know, I don't look only at the rating, I also read the feedbacks.
Judaeus Apella, have you checked the EB Games website. They have a downloadable one for $19,99. As I said before, I never downloaded a game before so I cannot comment, but from what I know EB Games have a good reputation. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) And if you read the comments there, they are pretty recent, so I guess they come from people who downloaded it.

| | Well thats wonderful news! Now I just have to get D2D to actually work.
I tried adding the game to my shopping cart but it won't let me add anything to my shopping cart. So I went to customer help, and chose "can't add items to my shopping cart" in the online form I had to fill out. But they wanted to know information about the credit card to work... and they were required fields!
.....I would think its pretty obvious that if I can't add something to my shopping cart, I didn't use a @$#%ing credit card! So I had to try using a different form. Who's the idiot that runs that site anyway?
Edit:
Nevermind, I got the support ticket system to work. After filling out like 10 forms, one of them finally went through.
