The Observatory - possible spoilers

Stuck again.. Ive met Nines at the Observatory.. Im face to face with the werewolf, the clocks ticking and Im getting ripped to shreds really fast. Am I missing something here? Ive tried several things, Ive run into the cable car building and shut the door behind me (the werewolf just rips it apart) Ive run into the observatory and clicked the switch at the top of the staircase (nothing happens) and have even hidden in the toilets like a sissy girl a couple of times.. Am I suppose to be trying to fight the werewolf or is there something I am missing in the observatory? Any help will be appreciated, Ive been stuck at this crap stage for the last couple of days.

I had this problem, died about ten times. The trick? Just RUN. Nines had it right, you can't beat it by fighting or hiding, so you just gotta keep moving until the time runs out. And Celerity helps a LOT.

Yeah, you can't beat this beast. There are though couple of places where you can stand still without the wolfie finding you.
Also, when the timer runs out do not immediately start running to the cable cart. Wait and listen untill you hear it arrive and stop, then run there.

just got past this spot .. found it really easy actually.. how ?

as soon as the timer starts run staright back to where the cable car comes/goes *open the door and close it* (real important to close it, gives you that little extra time you need) .. as soon as you close the door run to where you would enter the cable car, this has to be exactly where the cable car entry would be; too far and the werewolf comes straight at you.. if that happens your trapped and have a nice day.. once at the cable car entry crouch and wait out the 3 minutes.. read the manual, have a cup of tea or something..*as soon as the cable car comes get in it ASAP .. (i did this twice because i had to reload where i had a quest unfinished) .. the second time as soon as i moved towards the cable car the werewolf came around and cut my health in half..

if done properly the werewolf should break down the door enter growl and go out again.. continues to do this .. but leaving you nice and safe

you could turn the power on in with the switch on the little hut with the red light on it and open the observatory dorrs and when the werewolf chases you through the dorrs close it and kill it for 5 XP points.

Oooh, didn't know you could kill it. As for me, I just ran over next to the hill between the rock and a tree where it couldn't get to me and sat the timer out. Then I just ran over to the cable car and hopped in. Kinda a gamey way to escape, but after dying 3 or 4 times I was ready to move on. =)
