I'm in the room with the giant water wheel and can't work out how to open the door that's sealed with a big plank of wood. Realy need help it's starting to drive me insane.
Run into the bar of wood blocking the door. It will slowly be pushed aside.
Tried that nothing happened I am starting to think it's bugged for me. I've read a few post saying some times it's un-movable. Then when they tried with a different faction it moved fine. But the whole level seem buggy to me with the none stop spawning guards etc.
Kyrol, i had the same problem (i am malkavian? does it matter). I still can't fix it though, even after reloading--first just previous level of the temple, and now going all the way back to the damn taxi. This is utterly frustrating. Can anyone help me?

I think you have to DELETE the save games in front of the reload. This always works for me. If you reload to the last level you must delete the current save so that it has no memory of it. I could be wrong, but have done this several times and it works... Hope it helps.
Is there a command in the console that would let me just walk through the stupid door? I've tried everything suggested here and still can't open the door. Even after replaying the whole leevel from the beginning. (I have never played a game with so many bugs that can keep you from finishing the game.)

do you line up with the handle and run parallel to the door into the handle to move the plank?
Walking into it hasn't done any good for me so far.
yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee! finally after all this time i have opened the damn door! Pure luck i am sure cos this part of the level is surely a lottery. I did nothing different from what i have been doing all week.
although there may be a floor switch (I found one on the gallery level a corridor or more away from the room) - load/reload works best.
Can take about 20 mins otherwise.

I am having the same trouble with the door by the waterwheel. I get either the 'push' icon or the 'padlocked' icon and can do nothing. Frustrating! I have never played a game that has swung between being so good and so unplayable at the same time. This is the last time I buy anything from Activison.
I posted somewhere else that you should try going in from the right side door rather than the front. If you fight your way in through the right side of that room the door should be workable.. at least that's what has happened for me in the tests I've ran..
This is utterly frustrating. Can anyone help me?
