| Actually, the reason for the lack of Dementation Fox, is that Redemption came out before the change in Malkavians. See, WhiteWolf uses an evolving storyline RPG model, so each new supplement and edition includes changes to the world as a whole. Classic Malkavians had Auspex, Dominate, and Obfuscate, with Dementation only available to antribu (ie. Sabbat aligned Malkavians). In the last '90s, as WW started gearing up for the Time of Judgement (end of the world storyline), there was an event which caused Dementation to replace Dominate in almost all surviving clan members.
As to eiric's question, The amount of work involved in a project like that would be amazing even if proper tools were available. However, unlike other recent RPGs like Oblivion, there are no real game editing tools available for Bloodlines, most of the "modding" consists of script editing which, given that the game uses Python, really isn't all that hard.
Frankly, I really don't see why anyone would want to. Redemption was an enjoyable game as far as it goes, but hardly exeptional, and it didn't really feel like VtM. You kill more vampires in the first quest/ dungeon (the mine area) than should be in the whole city. The assault on the Monastery kill dozens of Cappadocians, which by the time of Redemption were well into their decline, and had never really been a major power. |
