Some woman recognised me in Hollywood.

Who is she, and is it relevant to any quest?

I looked in the walkthrough but didn't see her mentioned.

The Samantha encounter is actually in the walkthrough. You can find it here. Regardless, it's not really relevant toward any quests. She's just someone from your mortal life who remembers you. It's in your best interest not to let her try and "find help" for you. If she does so, it will cause a Masquerade violation.
