| | | Question about Mercurio This is my first time through playing the game. I'm a female Malkavian, and I'm not really having any problems figuring out the dialouge, although I did screw up with the Sibling Rivalry quest [got Therese instead of Jeanette]. I think I may have inadvertantly angered Mercurio before the Surf's Up quest, and when I returned, he started on about how he'd cover up for his mistake by telling LaCroix his messenger got killed. Then he attacked me, and I killed him. Is this going to have any negative effect on the game [?] because I got the next quest from his journal. |

| | | Mercurio's help It's really a shame because if he becomes your ally, you'll be able to trust him for the rest of the game. He sells you weapons earlier than anyone else, and also helps you with any knowledge you might need.
If you pay Rosa by the beach to tell you your fortune, she tells you that "the man in the couch" is one of the only characters you can trust. (there's someone else she says you can trust but I don't want to spoil the game for you) Friends in this game will be hard to come by. Everyone just seems to want to use you for favors. Not Mercurio.
However, it is entirely possible to play the game without him. You'll just get guns later at another vendor you have not yet met, in the game's last hub, and also, later in the game a vendor you probably already know starts selling more weapons. But that's about it. |

Well, thank you for the help! |

| | | Annoying people Well, you're a true Malkavian ...
Try not to annoy the "lone wolf" if you haven't met him yet. He'll be able to help you later if you're cool with him. Figuring out some Malkavian answers are funny, but hey, it makes them more interesting, right? It took me a little while to figure out that "boom sticks" were guns . Good luck the rest of the way. |

The most entertaining of the ones I have played, but also a trifle perilous as I have unintentionally caused offense where I meant quite the opposite. The game is somewhat forgiving for certain mistakes although I was not so certain at the time. Being a Malk is challenging after a fashion, but I found the game-playing satisfaction is greater. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
