Noo, not again :( Stupid game

Hello everybody. A couple of days ago I made a new thread where I said that the screen resolution was too high so I couldnt start vampires.. Well the problem was that i had not downloaded the patch! So I did and everything worked out fine, sorry for not replying again.. And it's a great game I'm in hollywood right now, but today when I started the game the same thing happened.. I must have accidentally increased the resolution, well so i tried to re-install the patch so it would be 800x600 but now it says I can't re-install the patch,

So is there anyway to change the resolution out of game?

and I'm sorry for kind of double posting, because my previous thread was a lot like this.

OK! Something is very wrong, I just read that you can start the game in safe mode and that it will automatically change to 800x600 but IT STILL DOESNT WORK!

This is what it says : Attention
Out of Range
H:165.KHz V:239.4Hz
