Need help: Lily is missing

I'm up to the story level where I gain access to Chinatown.
Now I go back to Santa Monica to pick up Lily. Don't know what step I missed, can't seem to find her (she supposes in a room down in blood bank).
Any idea?

If I go to the beach, the quest would fail.

if memory serves there should be a locked door in the blood bank part of the hospital, adjancent to the freezers. there's a terminal in the other corner of the blood bank. if you go use it and hack into the freezer info, you can take the code it gives you, input it into the panel in the freezer, and a door will open that gives you access to another room. lilly should be in there. i know this is worded awkwardly, if you can't understand what i'm getting at pm or im me, and i'll try to be of more help.

For all those people who can't seem to find lily, I don't think it is a bug, nor is there a specific sequence you need to go through in order to find her in the room.

As long as you get her journal, you will be able to access the freezer where she is kept.

The question is just when did you access the freezer?

If you try to rescue Lily only after you have opened up Chinatown, I believe that E will skip town and the quest will fail. With E outta town, Jane Doe is now a cadaver if you check the morgue computer.

So for those people who found Lily missing, check and see how far along the main quest you are.

Same thing happened to me, I just wanted to plough through the main quest and finish of the sides later before the final showdown. By the time I returned to Santa Monica, E had skipped and there was only bloodstains in the freezer.

Yes, I think when you get the Hatter quest E leaves, so by Chinatown he's long gone.

By the time you access the David Hatter quest given by VV in Hollywood, the thin bloods clear out (except Julius). So its probably impossible to complete the last step of the Lilly quest at that point. So, chances are, by China Town the quest will no longer be available. With that said, I'm unsure as to whether you can still complete the other steps of the Lilly quest after E departs.

On a related point, there is a certain sequence you have to do in order to complete the Lilly quest. The only required steps, however, are getting the quest from E, picking up Lilly's belonging from the Diner lady, and then finding Lilly's Journal in the car trunk. At that point, you'll have access to one of two ways to get the freezer codes (either the computer in the locked room in the hospital basement area or talking Gil into giving it to you, the latter step yields an extra point of experience; I can't recall if the computer way does). If you don't do the before mentioned steps, the code won't be available.
