| | | Mira's Voice (possible spoiler) I've just started the Giovanni Mansion quest, and I first wanted to talk to Mira Giovanni, the lady by the piano. Thing is, everything's just fine until the point where she says she wants someone out of the running. I'm playing as a Malkavian, so I don't know what the reply is for others, but I ask "What are you running towards?" and suddenly she loses her voice. I see the text, and on the bottom it says "press 1 to continue" or sth like that, but Mira's got no voice and her lips aren't moving, she's just standing there staring at me and giving me an occasional frown.
=/ I know I'm always boring people with my boring problems and glitches, but honestly, what's up with this? I've tried continuing the conversation as if nothing happened, and she's still as silent as a grave.

| | | the Giovanni elite these bunch are the most snobbish, stuck up pretenders you'll come across.
it is very easy to nark them off and sometimes they just ignore you.
I got half the info for the XP and couldn't get the rest no matter which options I tried - there again, I think I had only got to level 8 persuade. weird I could get Adam's info but not the rest.
anyhow, I suggest that you re-start the conversations, as you have probably made a faux pas.
most of the time, I just find the randy one and get her to take me off somewhere - no XP, but at least I don't waste a lot of time.
BTW red text is good style, but hard to read.

| | You can do that?
Who or what do I have to do to? Low persuasion this time thru makes the mansion a bit harder. |

| | | Mira lost her voice with me both times I have played, as a Tremere and a Malk. I think its just a glitch because if you keep pressing 1, her words will continue to come up, you just have to read them instead of hearing them. Go to "options" on the menu to make her text show up on the screen. You will still get all the XP, as long as you have a 9 persuasion. You need a 9 to get with Nadia, too. |

| | | Nadia pretty sure you don't need 9 with Nadia - she's a pushover - little minx (and bi-curious)
I think you need persuasion 7-ish OR perhaps she falls for the seduction level. she 'showed me the way' when I was 8 persuasion and 5 seduction, but she has shown me her secret treasure chamber even with lower than 8, but probably with higher (6/7) seduction.
some console jockey could test which is needed...

| | | She allways looses her voice...it's not story or skill related, but a bug in the game. Apparently the Giovanni Quest programming was done in a hurry and so the graphics and audio are acting strange.
It's nearly impossible to get the experience for telling their secrets to the other canidates though...you need maxed out persuasion, so it's best for Ventrue or Toreador characters with social skills. The few experience points you get aren't that much though, and the Quest isn't that interesting....

| | | This is a bug in the game. I'm fairly certain it afflicts most people. I had thought it was something to be fixed in patch, I guess not.
To get all the experience from the Giovanni's (which is 3 points total, and a little bit of cash), you need a 9 in persuasion. I believe two of them will cave with their secrets with an 8. There's no other way to get it. |

| | | I used seduction on a woman in a white dress as soon as I got into the mansion and she led me right down the stairs and opened all the doors all the way down to the zombie infested area... I was playing a Tremere... |

| | | That's where you need to go. Down in the cellar.
When I played with Toreador the first time I talked with Mira and I offered my help with her dillema but unfortunatelly I talked with the woman in white afterwards and then she made me follow her down in the basement. I didn't have the chance to go back and see what Mira wanted me to do. And yes, Mira lost her voice. When that happened I ended the conversation and the 2nd time I didn't notice anything strange. A random bug I suppose.
Except Johansen trouble I didn't find any bug repeat itself whenever I got to the same part of the game. It is inevitable that every application has a few bugs. Not a perfect world we are living in...

| | | Talk to the girl in the white dress, takes you down there without any bugs and your given a tour right past where an item for the flesh eater back in the abandoned hotel in Down Town wants. She opened all the doors and I had an easy time all the way... well until those zombies start showing up... then I drew ol faithful sword and slashed my way through. "Hmmm... BRAINS."
How did you guys get in though? I talked to a couple outside, made her puke and convinced him to take her home... they left me their invites. |

| | | depends I like the puke route, but after getting the XP for getting in, I sometimes go back outside and pick a fight with the guys so that I can lift a lassiter Killmatic from one of them. gets you in the mood for the zombies.
you can use the back door method rather than the invite if you want.
