You can only get the key by accepting a side quest from a Nosferatu named Mitchnik. Have you met him yet?

ya im around chinatown im just going back and checking stuff out, anyways so he gives me the card when i set up the network im guessing?

Yes, I believe it's the first network hub location he will ask you to activate. Once you've accepted the quest he will e-mail you and tell you all about it at which point he will leave a key in your mailbox.

I have this quest & I got the email from Mitchnik but there is no key in my mailbox.

I went straight from Hollywood to Santa monica to my haven there. I dont have one anywhere else.

Is it the Santa Monica mailbox he leaves it in?

In the skyline appartments I didn't have one available to me(the door was locked).

I used noclip cheat to look inside all the havens I know of like the chantry, skyline, Santa monica and the sewer in Hollywood but the Santa monica one was really the only one I had access to without cheat and no key anywhere.

Can I get the key using the console?

I checked the giveitems command but I dont see that key in there...

The actual console command you're looking for is just "give item_q_..." The give is the command, and item_q_ shows that its a quest item. I'm not sure of the exact name of the key, though, but the auto-complete should be able to help you out.

And if you meant give item instead of giveitem and this post is useless, I'm sorry.

Ah I got something weird happening then. I've done all of Mitnick's quests to get the Network hubs up, even in Chinatown and it's now considered a completed quest item in the menu and I still haven't a: met Mitnick and b: been in Megahurtz Computers. Bug maybe?

Hmm, that give item_q_ command didn't work for any items...

After getting the quest from Mitnik I came out of the Hollywood cemetary and according to the walkthrough I'm supposed to go to my mailbox and then head to Santa Monica.

Is there a mailbox in Hollywood? If not then I'm stumped...

Heh, I didn't explain thoroughly enough. The item_q_ is just the preface for the item. The actual item name willbe something like item_q_hurtzkey, or whatever. The console automatically shows stuff that can complete a item_q_ statement, so that's why I mentioned it that way. Sorry for the confusion.

It didn't allow me to scroll through any selection.

Maybe I did it wrong but I've used it for other items...

I just type in give item_q_ & then try to scroll

I've also tried just typing in giveitem & scrolling with that...which works but does not give me any kind of hurtz key....a few other keys to other places...

I went around & checked all the mailboxes again...

I'm guessing its just a bug.
