I am attempting to get into the sewers to do the haunted mansion quest. Whenever I get into the sewer I am stuck on the ladder and can not seem to get off of it and move forward. Is anyone able to help me? Ducking, moving the mouse around attempting a combat maneuver, none of it moves me off of the ladder. Am I not in the correct sewer? If so which one should I be in. Please help.
I've been trapped on the ladder a few times. Typically, the problem is that you are standing up instead of crouching, and to get off the ladder, you have to be crouched. Sometimes you have to hit the 'jump' key a lot.
There shouldn't be a trick to getting into the sewers. Make sure you're crouching and then move down. Eventually, you'll automatically jump off the ladder. Just keep messing with the controls. You should eventually get it. If all else fails there's a cheat code that allows you to go through walls which might solve the problem. A list is here -
