Ghouling Heather?

The readme in 4.7 says something about getting an XP point and quest for saving Heather by ghouling her. How do you ghoul her and what is the quest? I (playing with 4.8) just got to that point (right before getting the Hollibrook quest). She told me about her dream, I told her how important she was and that I didn't know what I would do if something happened to her (didn't send her away, I always hated doing that). She then gave me the armor. Then I go get the Hollibrook quest and during it, she shows up and gets killed. When I last talked to her, I did not see any dialog relating to me saving her or ghouling her or getting a separate quest.

What did I miss?

(BTW, I thought she was already a Ghoul when she drank the vampire's blood at the beginning).

Crap. After reading a bit more, I see the "ghouling Heather" WAS when she first drank the vampire's blood at the beginning.

I was thinking you (Wesp) added another quest to not have to send her away (I completely misread the meaning of the release notes regarding Heather). I was looking forward to that instead of always having to tell her to leave or getting her killed (by not telling her to leave).

Damn I wish there was another way to do that part! Giving her blood that she now depends on and then kicking her to the curb (or getting her killed) is just all wrong!

I added an option to keep her with you and alive, but you have only one chance at it. It's telling her to stay indoors after she tells you that she has been followed.

I blew that one. I remember her saying that and I said something about getting a gun. That was way back. I'm almost gonna have to start over.

So what happens later down the road if answering that one correctly? You tell her the same things I did above I (which I believe is at the last conversation with her), and then at Hollybrook she doesn't appear (and get killed)?

I was just in that position as well. Is there any console command you can use to change the path you took in the conversation? Cos I told her to get a gun :P

How would a girl like Heather defend herself with a gun against Sabbat goons? You two must be American ! Anyway, it's not to late to use the console, "G.Heather_Indoors = 1" should do the trick. Don't expect additional dialogue after Hallowbrook though...

Yep, American. Gimme the GUNS! ! Heh heh.

So now right before Hollibrooke, I can tell her to stay and after Hollibrooke, she will still be in the apartment? When you say no further dialog after Hollibrooke. Is that just with using that console command or no dialog period?

You know what would have been super cool, is at the end cutscene (the one after Lacrox blew himself up) that Heather and the character would be sitting there instead of Jack and the character.
