A deal with Boris - BUG? (SPOILER)

I have actually managed to persuade Boris to let Venus go! But, during that conversation, Venucide quest got activated. After that, I refused to do it and somehow made him agree on cutting her loose. I happily returned to Venus, but got no chance to tell her of the deal - she just wanted to know if he is dead or not . Then I simply returned to Boris and killed him, which resulted in failing "Venucide" quest, and succeeding "And her name..." quest when I reported to Venus.

Now, I'm not sure if it is a bug or I simply encountered dialog options intended for an uncompleted part of the quest (wouldn't be strange...).

I don't think there's a peaceful way around this quest. Quite frankly, the plot doesn't really allow for that anyway, as its highly unlikely a Russian mobster is going to give up substantial sums of money freely. It sounds like you're experiencing a bug of some sort. It may relate to an unfinished solution around the quest, or be something else entirely.

Perhaps they were planning such ending, but realized it shouldn't be an option for a mobster boss

Anyways, I've encountered such dialog options. Has anyone else seen this?

I'm pretty sure that all you have done is involved yourself in mutually exclusive quests to your own detriment. Either Venus or Boris is supposed to die, and apparrently you refused both initially, then kacked Boris, hence failing to kill Venus.
