I finally got some TV interaction. I walked into my haven (I'd left the TV on), and the newscaster said, "Hey you" as I walked past the TV. When I responded, he told me a joke about a tuna and a sushi chef.

I loved the Malkavian character, especially his wit and dry humor, which almost none of the NPC comprehend. This made him appear superior to humanity, a trait which I missed with the Toreador character. It takes a fair knowledge of greek mythology to understand all of the Malkavians' lines though ("Daughter of Janus", "Fleet footed god", "I will be Mars for Venus and rescue her from Vulcan" sorry for the uncorrect quoting, bad memory). In a way, the Malk. character gave the Troika team a chance to be extra clever, which I enjoyed very much.

Finally got the Tuna joke from the TV guy haha. I walked into the haven after killing all the hunters, no sooner was I in the door then it talked to me and told me the joke. Also my ghoul gave me the armour... I'm so tempted to drain her dead to spare her a Sabbat beating...

I love the Malkavians because each Malkavian is unique, the only thing they all have in common is that they are all insane, but they express their insanity in so many different ways, think about it, the two Malkavians you meet in the game (Therese/Yeanette and Alistair Grout) are completely different.

I think it works like this: When a human is embraced by a Malkavian he is confronted with the true meaning of life (or something like that) but whatever the mind is confronted with cannot be comprehended by the human mind so something snaps and the victim goes insane yet every individual deals with this in a different way so no Malkavians are truely alike, its sort of comparable to jumping in the deep end while not being able to swim (You're gonna drown eventually but everyone drowns in a different way)
Of course none of the above applies when the victim is already insane.

Just thought i'd share my theory.

There is a quote in the VtM rulebook (revised) that reads something like

"The difference between you and me is I remember what I saw when I was truly dead. You'd be mad too."

I want someone to give me some specific places in the game where I can hear voices. I have played back through all of my save games as a Malk, and have only heard the arsenic voice in the Surfside diner. Where else?

I have heard "voices" at the beach.
When you walk up the stairs to the murder place, I heard something like "he is near". Then I saw a wolf on the hill. The wolf howled and ran away.

(I believe every clan can see this wolf)

I remember returning to the Nosferatu warrens via the cemetary and when i was in the halway to Gary's door i definitely heard whispering voices and when i had concluded my business with Imalia i went back and at that same point i heard voices again, this time a little more clear, something like:˙ou're in for it now"

If I were you, I'd google greek gods and then google Roman gods - you might find that a fair knowledge of greek mythology would be much less use than Roman.

BTW Janus is also Roman - January named in honour - 2 faced - one looking back, the other forward.

Can't find a single Greek god in VtMB.

Having read some of the juicy dialogue I have just started again as a Malk.

In addition to jack's reaction I am amused by Mercurio's too, [deleted]

I am at fault. Sincere apologies.

I guess I associate with too many my mother would not approve of.

Neither would mine. But we live with the conditions we've got. Back to the thread!
