| | | Two Worlds Hi, All!
Carol here. OK, I just loaded Two Worlds for PC. Everything installed OK and I have gotten through the introduction but when I get into the Temple ( at the very start of the game) the game stops and I get an error message that says that "Two Worlds.exe" has encountered a problem and must close. What is going on? I really hate it when I can't play a game that I have paid so much for. My computer meets (and exceeds) the requirements for the game. Do I have to download a patch for this game before getting into it?
Thanks in advance for your input.

| | | I didn't have any problems with the game, but downloading the patches certainly wouldn't hurt.
To get any tech support (here or elsewhere) you'll have to list some of your system specifications.

| | | Two Worlds Hi, SWCarter!
I just finished downloading the 1.6 Patch and tried the game again. Same results. This is the item included in the error message: C:\DOCUME`1\Owner\LOCALS`1\Temp\9149_appcompat.txt . I certainly don't know what it means so I could use all the help that I can get.
I have a Dell Computer with 3Gigs, 512 MB RAM, Radeon EX 200 Video Card, and am playing with Windows XP.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.

Since the game crashes as soon as you get into the actual game, I'm guessing that your graphics card is the problem, but I'm not the greatest of tech support gurus. If you look in the back of the manual, you should find an address for technical support from South Peak Interactive, and they might have a better idea.

Carol here. I have been able to exchange this game where I bought it for another one but I have the same problem at the same place. Can't even get into starting playing with my character. I have contacted Southpeak Games with no answers to my problem. I am going to download the patch again and install it into this new disc and see what happens. It is really frustrating to pay good money for a game and not be able to play it.
Thanks.

| | | Did you work out what your graphics card is? If you right click on your display (on the wallpaper / background image) and then select "properties" and then select the "settings" tab, you should see a panel that lists your display as XXX on YYY. The XXX part should be your monitor, and the YYY part should be your graphics card.

Carol here. Is this the information you asked for? RADEONX300/X500 Series.
Thanks.

| | | I looked up the Radeon x300/x500, and supposedly it came out in 2002. My guess is that it's just not powerful enough to run the game, even though the x-series is listed in the minimum requirements (the problem might lie in the per pixel shader bit, but I didn't have any luck looking that up). Hopefully Southpeak will get back to you and tell you one way or the other.

| | | not only that you're playing with 512 mb of RAM, thats barebones low.
Windows can handle 3gb iirc, so you're playing at 1/6th your computers potential memory capacity | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
