Prophets and oracles are both great builds. The dream mastery is a powerful class and you can use psionic touch as ur primary attack which adds support to storm's elemental dmg as psionic touch adds total damage which improves on every kind of dmg. The pets also combine well and add alot of damage buffs. The trance u would use would probably be convolescence and is quite poweful adding mana and health regen but the best part is the damage absorbtion which will help you survive. I cant stress enough how important that skill is. Distort reality will save ur life when u get surrounded by enemies and it will petrify and kill everything in its way(I think its the best skill in the game). You'll have so many good spells you wont know what to do with yourself. Definitely the best choice in my opinion but not by much

Downsides with spirit:
Ternion will deduct from ur elemental dmg and will make you drink potions like a crack addict. This is not good considering elemental is ur main form of damage and this would be ur primary attack.

Upsides:
1. Deathchill aura minimizes damage done to you by a lot and reduces enemys health and resistances
2. I would consider the liche king to be the best pet in TQ. It reduces enemy health and absorbs a ton of damage when maxed out.
3. Death ward will save ur ass when ur health gets below 15%.
4. The outsider is a one man wrecking crew and is invaluable against bosses.

I agree with shanco,

Dream is a very good spell caster mastery.

I have a Drem/Spirit caster at 53rd level basically she does not attack normally at all - all she does is blast enemies with Distort reality and Distortion wave - as long as you have good recharge items you will find that you are able to distort reality a second time before the enemy even comes around from being stunned.

Distortion wave is great for early to mid game until you can get Distort reality also Distort wave is good for hitting the archers on the fringes while you blast the melee enemies with DR.

The spirit tree I have found more useful as support only.

I have another char at 65th level that uses the Spirit mastery with Warfare - which to me is a better combo with Spirit due to the chill aura effecting enemies close in but not at range (which you would need if you are casting at them from range).

Lich is still extremely valuable and popping out the outsider when you need a meatshield in front is also very handy.

I have tried building a spirit/storm in the past also but found that the lightning attacks from the storm mastery just did not do enough damage to warrant using it as a primary...therefore making half of the mastery pretty much not that useful....got this character to 48th level but found him lacking in firepower so haven't gone back to him since....
