Wanderer

I was wondering if a pure wanderer could make it through the game alone, i don't know if the pets are strong enough to be my main source of damage so i have no clues about the strenght of such a build.
I thought of maybe making a ranger by using a bow and the bow improving line of skills from hunting but the summons would still be my pritority to lvl up. Anyone got suggestions?
