Titan Quest - Shards and Relics

Hi!
Carol here. I have a question about the shards dropped by birds, animals, etc. How come I can't enhance or enchant some of my equipment? I can't enhance my sword even though the shard says that it enhances all weapons. The same is true for my helmet. In the beginning, I had no trouble enhancing my equipment but now I cannot enhance my sword or helmet. I still have been able to enhance my other stuff. I also cannot enhance my torso armor which is part of the Obsidian set. Still looking for the rest of this set. If I cannot enhance these items, why should I still keep these shards in my inventory. I would be better off by selling them, right?

You can't enchant unique or set items.

Believe it or not, I did not think of that. Stupid me! I always learn something new when playing these games.

In addition, I don't think you can enchant rare items either (The green ones).

Maybe you will change your weapon and the shards will come handy...

Relics and Charms can be used with green items, and that's why some green items are better than some blues and purples.
