I got a guardian (defender/nature) which seems to work quite well for a melee type.

Maxxed HOTO and other skills in that line for hp and resists.
1 point in refresh
that's it for nature

Defense I got pretty much everything maxxed, as well as 3 points extra from equiptment.

so massive amounts of resist (perm of stone + defiance), massive block rate and recovery (quick recovery + focus), massive damage absorption (colossus form), massive hp (HOTO + colossus form), massive reduction in freeze/stun/entrapment/skill disruption duration.

Also, defiance gives quite a bit of damage reflected, 60% maxxed, which pwned a storm/nature friend who tried to pvp me.

the three passive attack skills (shield smash, rend armor, pulverize) works quite often as I tried to get a nice and high attack speed from eq, 190% in colossus form with inspiration.

To top it off, refresh pretty much insures that you are in best battle position at all times.

A nice tank for your spell caster friends. I managed to hold off a crowd of 20+ creatures in act III legend until I killed them :P

oh, and shield charge seems to attack an additional target every two levels beyond the max? I got a 3 point increase beyond max and I can hit 5 targets. Same goes for batter and pulverize I think.

Hmm...

I was wondering, who should win the Best Build Award 2006, the oracle, or the conjurer? Or did some other original build that didn't get my attention should win it?

I started playing an Avenger (hunting/earth) and he's kicking lots of butt! I'm at level 14 and so far I have been developing his earth enchantment skill, maxed out Wood Lore, maxed out marskmanship (moving up the skill tree), a few points in Ring of Flame (for when monsters get too close), and when my hunting mastery is high enough I'll also take Call of the Hunt for fighting bosses and/or large groups of monsters.

In Act 3, this build was starting to struggle especially when fighting those (i forgot the names) dragon-like monsters that run on all fours. Anyway, I ended up over-hauling the skill distribution. I took ALL the points form the Earth mastery and maxed out the marksmanship skill tree. I still had a few points left so I invested them into Call of the Hunt which is VERY effective but takes a long time to recharge.

i play a warfare/nature guy.. in wf i got all the dual wield techs maxed out, onslaught tree maxed out. in nature i got heal, heal recharge, hoto maxed out and currently i'm pumping up strength of the pack. i dish out quite decent damage (around 2500 dps with self buffs), got unlimited healing capabilities and some 5k hp. the first time i ran into big problems was in legendary act 3 but i fought my way thru. im lvl 51 atm.

i'm currently a lvl 40 sum'n corsair, (rogue + defense)
i maxed out my rogue skills of poisoning, blade honing, clac strike, throwing knives, anatamy, and lethal strike, and am JUST starting my second mastery, it not that bad starting out because your lvl 1 skills are calc strike, blade honing, and envenom weap, so you can seriosly kick ass if you distribute your points the right way. unfortunately what the book says about roques are true they litterally cant take dmg so i added the defense mastery so i could use battle awarness, and rally.

damage per second

Hi, when I read that most mob's die in 2 blows with a 200 damage per second rate, I just had to react. My character is a storm spirit combination level 32, and it does 364 damage per second.

Hi there,

I'm fairly new to TQ -been playing for about ~2 weeks now. I find it strange noone mentioned Ranger in this thread. My roomate started playing before me, as a conjurer, and while the spirit/earth build is the bomb for farming or leveling, its really not that fast or interesting...

My ranger (currently 58) easily outdoes the dps of him and his pets. Olympus on legendary takes me about ~3mins. to clear from fountain to dead Typhon. Or I can just run past it all an train right to Typh but thats not much xp

I don't have the game runnin' at the moment so stats are approximate but self-buffed I do ~5050dps (call of hunt + refresh ftw) have around 6400 health, 160ish% move speed and insane hp regen. Basically everything dies in 1-2 shots with typhon going down in about 5 secs.

Might not be the "best" build but it deffinitely gets the job done.

Edit: guess I should clarify, I'm a full-time bow ranger, currently using bow of herakles/artemis'. Spears do hella more base dmg but the bow when you factor in scatter + puncture + volley is much more effective, imo.

i wanna say sorry for first , cuz i didn't read all of the comments here , so maybe someone wrote some about this char. I've made a Conjurer , it's now level 58 , and it builded for legend titan runs only , i think the build of the character is almost perfect for this , or maybe the best way. I'am using earth ench+ ternion + dark covenant on max + lichking on full, i have about 55% recharge so i can recast the dark covenant again , 5 seconds after it goes down , a titan run can be less than 2 minutes. Here is a link of the character + items , ofc i've used some other stuff on walktrough , but now i don't need any resistance or life , mosters don't have time to do anything , but if someone coming so fast , the vision of death can stop them. only archers can do some problem to me sometimes , but nothing else , i also can kill fire immunes , cause of the stuffs and the liche king , what is the best pet in this game so far. so here is my char:

Man don't be naive. +% elemental dmg is poor , +% intelligence items much better if ya enchant them with relics, i bet your dps don't reach 4k with this equipment , sory man but i won't agree in that , this is the best build.

U should use evertime + attack speed + intelligence items items with a ternion based character , that is the key for a char like this , and the 50+ % recharge for the dark covenant. Yea , that's ok .. u have good resistances , but what the hell it good for if ya kill everyone in a second? why it's good? The only resist what u need is pierce cuz archers's projectiles are fast to evade them easy way, but that isn't also necessarry , cuz u can own the archers with squall or wision of death. All of big bosses dies in 5 sec , hydra in legend is 10 , and all of them attacking the lichking or the outsider , so the only thing what u need is attack+intelligence+ some resist reduce from equipment , and a little skill to stay alive with a megakiller but not a safety character.
