Stuck at Knossos landing

Had a hard fight with Megalesios in the room of conduit at lvl 17 went through to Knossos landing and saw the ! over the mans head at the boat however it was later so i saved and went to bed.
Next day i loaded the game and the ! over his head is gone and ive tried to kill Megalesios 2 more times but still cant on the boat

Any ideas ?
Is it like game over ?

Cause im not playing up another char with the chance of this happening again i rather drop the game to the trashcan

Dude the same thing happen to me, word for word. I felt that i could not be botherd but i have started a new char as soon as i know if its a ongoing problem ill post it up.
