StormCaller Help...PLEASE!!!!

I have a level 41 Stormcaller (single skill of Storm)...and she is dieing so much, if I could buy stock in caskets, she could buy her way out of the game. I have the skill tree fully maxed. I have Ice shard, Velocity, and Torrent maxed. I have Thunderball and Consussive Blast almost all maxed. I have Lightning Bolt maxed and 4 points in Chainlighting. I have Summon Wisp maxed and 3 points in Eye of Storm. Last...Stormsurge is fully maxed.

At level 41 I am only doing around 400 DPS. I was doing fine in TQ and killed Typhon with relitive ease. But I am now finding that half way through IT I am struggling to kill even the easiest of nasties and I am constantly making death runs.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Either retooling my Stormcaller or adding a second skill. I am not dead set on just only have the Storm skill alone, I just got hung up on working on it.

If you're level 41 and only doing 400 damage per second, you really need to think about getting a secondary class. I'd suggest spirit, and get deathchill aura and summon Liche King. That'd help tremendously.

Squall is a good skill for storm. Maybe try that...and its synergy. One of them lowers the enemies elemental resistance.

Hi man,
You really should max the storm nimbus tree if u havent. Thunder ball you can prolly get rid of. Make sure you have good resistances that could explain why u are dying so much. Also make sure u stock up on health potions buy like a 100 or so and always hit health when u get to half way.

Thanks for everyones help. I will finish my story with what i have done.

I chose the Earth mastery. I dumped my all point from summon wisp and chain lightning...and a few other spots. I transfered point into and maxed out storm nimbus (now working on heart of frost). I put 10 points into the Earth tree and then maxed out earth enchantment and brimstone. With the combination of storm nimbus and earth enchantment, I am doing some pretty good damage now. Kept storm surge...it has save my butt many of times. Get overran and someone usually fires it off to stun everyone and give me a chance to get away or finish the fight. Kepts Thunderball...I like the stun. It make for a good lead in on attacks. Still have ice shard and all its tree maxed out. I find that as of right now, it is my bread and butter.

So far, I got my character back in the game. Please feel free to keep posting and offer other suggestions. I will probably need them a few levels down the road.

Many thanks...

Squall

Hi,

I know you have concluded your topic here, but here is my last 2 cents; squall. Squall is by far (imho) one of the best skills in the game. I highly suggest maxing it out, it has HUGE radius, considerable damage, fast recharge, and most importantly (especially in later stages) it reduces defenses. Now without going into mechanics, reducing defenses increases your damage output more then directly increasing your damage output. I play an elementalist, earth/storm, and i use Squall more then any other skill. I would also suggest focusing your skill points. If you are lacking damage in battle, work on raising your damage out put, if your dieing to fast, maybe take out some points in your larger attacks and lesser used skills and focus on defense.

Anyway, just thought i would throw that out there.

p.s. I have found that it is better to max out one or two dmg spells, and just spam those instead of running a jack-of-all-trades build. Just me
