Spoiler - Pet Question For Higher Level Characters

I just completed Act 1 Normal and I've done a couple of Telkine runs. I'm a Ranger (hunter/nature) with a Nymph and 2 wolves. Against the Minotaur boss and then Telkine, I don't have to do too much. I take out the traps and then make sure to take out the Life Leechers quickly, otherwise those 3 summons seem to rip the bosses down fairly quickly. My wolves are 8/15 and the Nymph is 1/XX. At what point in the game will they become trivial mana dumps?

not sure , i have 2 wolves @ level 15 maxxed out , working on the one above them in the skill tree , but they are good fighters , take out most ememy , and i've made it to level 15 as Nature/Spirit with them around me ... if they die the mana consuption is hugh , but i keep 30 potions at all times of each , till higher then 50-100

Generally pets actually dont they seem to be the easiest way of winning the game when they are maxed out. However i don't know about wolves and nymphs becuase they arn't the tanks that are spirit kings and wisps and core dwellers etc. Still they will be useful throughout the WHOLE of normal no doubt. You will have work on Typhon though, they won't do all the the (i don't think).

Later on the core dweller will have trouble killing monsters but he is more of a tank than a guy who kills in your place so it depends what you expect from your pets. However, a dweller a liche king and an outsider (ether lord) will kill a lot of baddies but i wouldn't count on them in boss fights. (Just ternion attack him to death )
