Legendary (Spoiler)

hello, im on my second character (first time going to legendary difficulty) its been pretty much cake walk.. but i noticed that without any gear on i have -100 to all resistances... is this .. just what makes legendary so much harder? or ... with my gear on .. i have around 20-45 resistance.. but.. still difficult when you take a typhoon breathe or anything.. any confirmation would be greatly appreciated.

Yes thats the rule on legendary for primary resists. Secondary have no penalty (like vitality and bleeding eg.)
