I have the hand and the eye, but when I try to talk to Imhotep again he says to bring him the other relic? Which one? How do I get to the tomb of Ramses without getting in the door to the upper Nile?

Sadly that's a rather common bug in the game, and has yet to be fixed. The only solution so far is to hack your game, by either using some hack tool (that I have no idea how it would work) or going into your My Documents\Titan Quest area and finding your character and all those files with numbers and crap on it.

To do that, you would go to-
C:\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\SaveData\Main\My Character\Levels_World_World01.map\Normal

Change the view to Details, and sort by date. Ignoring the first couple of files (Map.dat, quest.myw, etc), go to the files with the numbers, and start deleting until you are back at the part of the quest where you still need to find one of the items. Then you can get the item again, go to Imhotep, and see if that works. Otherwise, that save is pretty much screwed.

So it's a hit or miss thing? Sometimes the door will open, sometimes not?

I started playing this because Diablo III was too hacked and everyone just wanted to duel. I couldn't find a decent game to join.

Do you know if they are fixing bugs on a regular basis with Titan Quest?

In case I don't want to mess with deleting stuff, is there a way I can transfer my "gear" to a new character? I tried once to join a game online.. to see what was what, but I couldn't. Do I have to d/l something else?

You can download a program, I think it's called TQVault, where you can transfer items from one character to another or something like that. If you have Immortal Throne, this is an automatic built in game feature, you just need to find a caravan driver in game.

search the titanquest.net forum for TQ vault. It was developed by their moderator Batman if you have questions ask him.

I haven't hit that bug yet with the Invocation and I've played several characters. Sorry it happened! you could have someone give you the Tombs portal? I don't know if that would lead to any problem if the invocation hadn't been performed yet. I am willing to give you the portal (PM me to set up a multiplayer time)...

Shanco plays multiplayer..I've been meaning to add him to xfire. Search down for his thread about getting more players for his group.

I started a multiplayer game last night and several people came in, but they couldn't open "the gate of the palm" in Memphis. More than likely because it was MY game. Anyway, they were able to give me the next portal. I'd like to join a game so I could go WITH someone or some people who haven't gotten the relics yet, so I might get credit for the quest?
I'll try to join a game tonight

I have advanced a character to the Memphis outskirts. PM me about this or post. I will wait for you over the weekend but if you don't reply by Monday morning I'm going to play on ahead and you have to wait for my next character!

Edit: I can probably open a game and since its not messed up in my char it might give you the credit..

Thanks. I'll try to play tomorrow, but can't today. My spouse has a case of food poisoning and I'm on "bucket" duty.

Templar is insane. I have drank hardly any life pots or energy pots. 1 death due to trying too hard against Nessus!

Don't mean to sound "totally" dumb, but xfire? I've been playing alot of things for a long time I don't think I've used that and if I have.... I'm just numb tonight from lack of sleep and I'm just plain stupid.

its a program where you can send messages to people while you are playing a game with them and you do not have to hit alt + tab to exit the game.

I think you will find it if you google xfire? Otherwise look at the thread about starting a Titan quest clan below (playing online multiplayer).

You can see if I am logged in and send me a message. If I am playing a game or at the computer I can respond.

Otherwise we can schedule a time...

OK I installed xfire. And I added you as a "friend".

I think I solved my problem. I popped in this morning about 2:30am and caught a game. The gate of the palm was open, so I went in, .... touched the next fountain.. then exited the game. I opened MY game, I surfaced at the fountain I'd just touched....... so I continued on to the other side. I'm sure I got the quest. I'll be playing in a little while, so if you see my open game... come on in.

I had this happen to me once and I dropped them and then picked them back up and was able to finish the quest. The first and only time for me.
