How to measure the value of item?

hello ~
i bought this game yesterday, and played it.
(i played Dungeon-Lord recently)
well,DL can pick up many items in it's inventory bag ,but TitianQuest has a small bag to hold many items from enemy.
in DL, when i pick up a item, if i have enough skill i can identified it and show its value which like $2000 or $10000 and DL can auto pick up the worthest items.

but in TQ, there are many items drop in ground when enemy die, some 'yellow' items has many different attribute , it only can identified its value in marchant's store.

1.How did you measure , compare the value of items in TQ?
or just pick it up and run a long way to marchant's store ?

2.should i chosen armor class priority than element resist(fire,cold,..) ?

TKS

I'm assuming english isn't your primary language? Just a curiosity.

Anyways, as for selling items and picking them up at the expense of inventory space, it can be a bit of a hassle, granted, but picking up every item that isn't white will have his advantages later on. A lot of items that you might find on a merchant are incredibly expensive (I once found a ring for 900,000 gold that had an insanely good quality, and I was able to afford it because I didn't skip on picking up yellow and green items, sometimes even white items).

Oh, and just for reference, Yellow = Magical, Green = high powered magical, Blue = Epic unique or set item, Purple = Legendary unique or set item.

Armor over Elemental resistance is not recommended. You'll naturally get better armor pieces over time, but the power of an elemental resistance can increase your chances of survival later in the game dramatically.

Yes, i am not good at english, i am a chinese guy. sorry for read my article.^^".
so you mean, you take a lot of time to pick up items in small inventory space and sell it out just for accumulating enough money for buying some good item in future adventure?
well, you are right, marchant 's items are realy expensive! and i can't afford.

i just found one thing, some items has a level require, with high level require has a high value. or with high ability require (ex STR or INT or DEX) both can sell out for more moeny., but sometime it is hard to compare too many attribute ><.. (ex DEX+6 or life+52 or fire damage 10% or ....)

sir, did you pick up a normal, high AC or high damage items , and craft it by add some piece of special item(ex posion 1/5, or cold 2/5 or ...) will this better than pick up treature from boss ?( Can we craft better item than pick up from game ?)

I have absolutely no idea what your talking about. No offense man, but your english is near unreadable.

All I can say is loot is random and you should hope for the best.

You'll get some experience as far as what item is best from playing. Another way to learn is to go to titanquest.net and read the 'knowledge' thread. That thread tells you what the stats on the item mean so you can know what effect each stat has. The reason it tells you this is not because the thread is about items but because the thread is about the mechanics of how the stats in the character affect what happens.

But I would just at first experiment. If you are a hunter piercing might be good. If you are a rogue poison could be good. Then read the knowledge thread and other threads on titanquest.net and you will learn certain things: example veterans items are good...aman ra relic is pretty crappy. You will also learn what skills are good both from experience and reading.

Crafting is pretty limited. You can find yellow and green items. Green items are usually better. Items with Both prefix and suffix are better than having just a prefix or just a suffix. Then you take the yellow/green item and you can put relics and monster charms into it. I usually wait until I have the charm/relic completed 5/5 or 3/3 to put it in. But not always.

by the way pick up a mod called titan quest vault. Find it at titanquest.net from bman(somenumbers) the creator. It allows you to export your items to store on your computer so if one character cannot use a good item then another can.

Some of the best items: blues (epic), purple (legendary), green good prefix or suffix, monster infrequent (special monster only item some with great bonus in addition to possible prefix/suffix)
