Disappearing Bows

Hi - My first Post

I currently have a lv 49 Ranger (Hunter+Nature) & have discovered all the merchants in Egypt are not selling bows on Epic - Im only as far as Faerun(?).
The Merchants in Greece are fine & when I go back to normal the merchants are all ok.

This is quite annoying as my bow is falling below the rest of my equipment - is this a bug or a design flaw. Also do bows start appearing again in Epic Orient?

Any response would be appreciated thanks

I never noticed them stop selling bows. It should be on the tab with bows and spears for sale. If I remember right the guy with the swords above his head sells them or the bag. I'm not sure if the guy with the book does...

If they aren't selling you could try farming the Blacksmith Termerus. He is the hidden guy and frequently has green equipment. He is in greece so he should sell bows.

All the merchants still have the tabs for bows & still sell spears under this tab (the mixed merchants sell staffs & spears) but still no bows. This only seems to be happening in Egypt - I have not got as far as Epic Orient yet & all the Greek merchants are fine.

I admit I had forgotten about the Blacksmith - I know that when I went past him he was selling bows but are they of superior quality to the bows sold in, say Knossos (the last place I saw any for sale). I dont mean in terms of green ones but purely base item stats as the chances of green items in merchant shops seems to be fairly constant.

Anyone else experience this or do I have a warped saved game on the go - I dont really feel like starting from scratch as this character has taken over 110 hrs already (I pick up everything & sell it - even the grays! weird I know)

You can always farm for a bow. If you are in epic a good place to farm is from the parnassus portal until you are out of the gorgon cave. Kill every single monster. An epic drop is entirely possible and although you would be in greece the level loot table would correspond also to the level of your character so it might be a good bow. This could take some time but you might find other useful items. Legendary could even drop, its possible. And of course a chance at stonebinders cuffs from gorgons.

You could also farm egypt I just suggested that spot in greece because the monsters are easy, there are lots of them together, and I have gotten good loot in the past.

EDIT: Also I just got to epic egypt with my char and they are selling bows in rhaktosis. Try there and enter and exit the game if it doesn't work.

I just thought that the bows may have been fixed in a patch - can anyone tell me what the latest version is as the auto update says there are no updated at this time.

My version is IT 1.1 is this current?
