A quick question please.

Forgive me if this has been answered before, but I searched a bit and found it hard to word out for the search engine.

Anyways, I was curious how damage types work with a bow? By that I mean the elemental, psionic and poison. Lets use "earth enchantment" for an example:

"Imbues your weapons and the weapons of nearby allies with the power of rock and flame."

That seems straight forward enough, however, there are 2 things that give me pause.

1) They use a sword for the logo which makes me "feel" like its melee (I know its probably just a graphic)

2) Playing many other games where melee and ranged are broken into 2 catagories.

In anycase, if someone could just clear this up for me, then I can get me new Avenger underway

Most skills work whatever weapon you equip: staff, bow, sword, club, spear
Example: Earth Enchantment

Some only work on one type..example: blade honing doesn't work on bow because it has no blade (or staff). Marksmanship only works on bow. Ternion only works on staff.

Read the item description and if it specifies follow that but if it doesn't specify assume it is for anything.

Also a lot of things (earth enchant, storm nimbus, envenom weapon) work on throwing knives of rogue.

Thanks for the reply! Thats what I figured anyways, so I went ahead and tried it last night, works fine. Thanks for the help though.
